• Singer Katy Perry has signed a $2 million deal to write her memoirs — which should include juicy details about her short marriage to comic Russell Brand. [The Huffington Post]

• Legendary composer Ennio Morricone says he'll never work again with Quentin Tarantino, because the director "places music in his films without coherence." [The Hollywood Reporter]

• Director Colin Trevorrow has been picked to direct "Jurassic Park 4," even though he has only one small indie film to his credit. However, that one indie movie is "Safety Not Guaranteed," which is amazing. [Vulture]
