On the hunt • Easter egg hunts are being held on Saturday in numerous locations, including these in Taylorsville: 9 a.m., Valley Regional Park, 5100 S. 2700 West; 9 a.m., Labrum Park, 1850 W. 6100 South; and 10 a.m., 2600 W. Taylorsville Blvd., for kids 2-12.

The West Valley Animal Project is holding a fund-raising Spring Fling, which includes an Easter egg hunt for owners and pets, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the northeast side of Liberty Park, 700 E. 900 South, Salt Lake City. Arrive early to attend a session for $10 to train your dog to search.

West Valley City

Wherefore art thou Romeo? • Free performances of "Romeo and Juliet" will be presented at 7 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South.

New downtown digs • Construction has begun on the residential portion of Fairbourne Station, the city's downtown redevelopment project. Ground was broken last week at The Residences — a 225-unit upscale apartment complex at 2900 W. Lehman Ave. (3600 South) — and construction is expected to be completed in fall 2014.
