Plans for tonight: Parlotones rock out

• The Utah Jazz takes on the Oklahoma City Thunder at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 7. Tickets available at Smith's Tix.

• South African four-piece band The Parlotones performs at The State Room, 638 S. State St., Salt Lake City. Opening act: Dinner and a Suit, Cameron Rafati. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $25, at the venue's website.

• The monthly "Science Movie Night" brings Werner Herzog's Antarctica documentary "Encounters at the End of the World," and screens at the City Library auditorium, 210 E. 400 South, Salt Lake City. Presented by the Utah Film Center and the Natural History Museum of Utah. Show starts at 7. Admission is free.

• Psychedelic band Acid Mothers Temple performs at The Urban Lounge, 241 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Tjutjuna, Rainbow Black. Show starts at 9. Tickets are $12, at 24Tix.
