To update an earlier report, Enes Kanter is in Chicago, not New York, meeting with doctors this week to determine the best course of action for his dislocated shoulder. Kanter's agent, Max Ergul, told The Tribune that "odds are absolutely in favor of surgery" to repair the injury, which was suffered in a March 27 win over the Phoenix Suns.
The Tribune first reported Tuesday morning that Kanter would miss the remainder of the season due to the injury. On Monday morning, coach Tyrone Corbin said Kanter was in New York City consulting doctors. Ergul clarified that Kanter was actually in Chicago, and that he believed Kanter "has made up his mind" on a doctor."
The surgery would relocate Kanter's shoulder, repairing it to a point that it was "like it never happened," Ergul said.
Kanter was drafted No. 3 overall by the Jazz in the 2011 NBA Draft. He lives in the offseason in Chicago.
