Tacoma's HR barrage sinks Salt Lake

The host Tacoma Rainiers hit three home runs in their five-run fifth inning Monday to beat the Salt Lake Bees 7-3 in a Pacific Coast League game. Bees starter Barry Enright (1-1) took the loss, as he went 52⁄3 innings and allowed six runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and five walks. The Rainiers trailed 2-0 and did not have a hit off of Enright before the fifth inning.

Bees pitchers combined to strike out 12, but they walked 10.

Efren Navarro had three hits for Salt Lake, while Jimmy Swift added two. Luis Rodriguez hit a solo homer in the sixth inning.
