On Wednesday, April 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Gallivan Hall at Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main Street, Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker and Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams, along with members of the City and County councils, will be presented with design concepts for the New Performing Arts Center by Cesar Pelli and Mitch Hirsch of the architecture firm Pelli Clarke Pelli.Pelli and Hirsch will present architectural renderings of the Main Street and Regent Street views of the building as well as a 4' x 4', 1/16 scale model of the theater as it is proposed to be situated on Block 70 in downtown Salt Lake City.

The New Performing Arts Center is a proposed 2,500-seat theater located on Salt Lake City's Main Street, between 100 and 200 South.

Mayor Becker will also be making a major donor announcement at this event.
