Macey's grocery stores in West Jordan, Provo and Pleasant Grove are celebrating a grand reopening, which includes new décor, sales and giveaways.

In-store events and sales will continue through Friday.

Guests may enter to win a free Western Family Shopping Spree, and the first 200 guests may participate in daily giveaways.

A new décor store logo and packaging will be found in every store department, in addition to a sale wall, called Treasure Aisle.

In addition, Kong, a friendly ape inspired by Macey's Kong Kone — a chocolate and vanilla soft-serve ice cream cone — will greet guests.

In 1947, Walt Macey and Dale A. Jones started the Save-A-Nickel-Market in Rose Park. Today, Macey's supermarkets offer a made-from-scratch in-store bakery, delicatessen, full-service grocery, meat, produce and a non-foods department.

Grand-reopening events and sales can be found in the weekly ad at http://www.maceys.com. —
