St. George police said Friday that a man who crashed into a parked semitrailer truck trailer on Thursday did so intentionally.

The 29-year-old man, who was the only occupant of the Honda Accord, was in stable condition Friday at Dixie Regional Medical Center.

The car was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed near 3424 S. River Road when it rear-ended the rig just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

The case remains under investigation, and the driver's name has not been released.
