Northern Utahns were breaking out their jackets again as the weather grew windy and colder heading into the mid-week.
The recent weekend's balmy spring weather was a fond memory. Indeed, the National Weather Service issued a Freeze Watch for the state's northwest corner an area including the northern Wasatch Front, the Great Salt Lake Desert and mountains, Logan, Brigham City and Ogden through Wednesday morning.
High temperatures for northern Utah Wednesday were to be in the low-50s, down from the near-60 readings forecast for Tuesday. Winds in the 10-20 mph range added a chill factor.
