Youth sought for auditions • On Tuesday and Wednesday, May 14-15, from 5 to 9 p.m., children 7 and older are invited to try out for roles in Merrill Osmond's Youth Pioneer Pageant, a musical celebration that runs July 22-24. Auditions will be at Concordia Preparatory School, 12723 S. Park Ave., Riverton. Individuals seeking to play Brother Brigham should be ready to sing a 30-second song. Seniors — ready, set, go • Wednesday, May 29, is National Senior Health & Fitness Day, and area residents 55 and older are encouraged to join in a morning of free activities that include 9 a.m. one- and two-mile fitness walks led by Mayor Dan Snarr, followed by a continental breakfast, 10 a.m. blood testing, hearing and skin cancer screenings, medication checkups and more. Dr. David Sundwall speaks at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch provided by Select Health. The event is hosted by Murray's Heritage Center, 10 E. 6150 South.
