Elephants on parade • The Utah Republican Party will hold its organizing convention for 2013. Candidates will give speeches, caucus and convention amendments will be voted, and elected officials will present reports at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at the South Towne Exposition Center, 9575 S. State St.


Ladies' night for pampering • The Herriman Library invites all women aged 18 and over to Spa Night. Guests will have a night of massages and facials and learn creative methods for home spa treatments. The pampering will take place 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Herriman Library, 5380 West Main St.

Utah County

Calling all gearheads and greasers • Utah Valley University will hold their 26th annual Auto Expo and Swap Meet. They will display over 700 cherry classics and have drag racer Shirley Muldowney as guest. All proceeds go to scholarship funds. Friday, May 17. Thanksgiving Point, 3003 N. Thanksgiving Way, Lehi.
