Oliver Lange and Justine Kueffner will compete in the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind. , beginning Thursday.

It's the first time in school history that the men's and women's track & field team will send two participants to compete in the three-day event.

Lange qualified for the men's marathon for the second consecutive season. Lange earned his trip with a time 1 hour, 11:44 minutes at the Moab Half Marathon and enters this week's race as the No. 13 seed. He was named a NAIA All-American in the marathon after placing fifth last year with a time of 2:34.13.

The men's marathon race is set for at 4 a.m. (MDT) on Saturday.

Kueffner was the first woman from Westminster to qualify for the NAIA Outdoor National Championships this season. She will compete in the heptathlon. Kueffner is the No. 14 seed. The heptathlon begins Thursday at 8:30 a.m. (MT) with the 100 hurdles, high jump, shot put and 200 meters. The event concludes Friday with the long jump, javelin and 800 Meters, also starting at 8:30 a.m.
