The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. For more information about the products, call the manufacturer or CPSC's toll-free hotline, 800-638-2772. Only some cars or trucks recalled are affected. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.

Product • Avon Microwave Popcorn Makers

Problem • When cooked too long, popcorn can overheat in this device and ignite, posing a fire or burn hazard to consumers. Contact Avon Products at 800-367-2866 from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, or online at www.avon.com and click on "Product Recall" at the bottom of the page for new instructions and more information.

Vehicles • Subaru Outback and Legacy vehicles, manufactured from Feb. 15, 2012, through June 15, 2012.

Problem • The inner and outer shafts of the steering column assembly may become disengaged from one another. This may increase the risk of a crash if the driver loses control of the steering. Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236 (TTY 800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
