A Price woman who had been missing for two days was found dead at the bottom of a 100-foot cliff, according to police.

A prepared statement from Price police said the body of 29-year-old Holly Martineau was discovered Tuesday morning by a family friend. A volunteer group of friends and family had been searching for Martineau since she had gone missing early Sunday morning.

Martineau was last seen shortly after midnight when she walked from a residence she had been visiting in the Coves area of town. She was reported missing to police Sunday afternoon.

Police believe Martineau, who was walking by herself, slipped on some loose dirt and fell 100 feet down a steep slope. The scene was investigated by police, the Carbon County Sheriff's Office and the State Medical Examiner's Office. Her body was recovered by Price City Fire Department's rescue squad and was then transported to the medical examiner's office.
