Interstate 15 is scheduled to be closed Friday and Saturday nights in Ogden for bridge work — and again Wednesday.

The Utah Department of Transportation says the freeway will be closed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night between Riverdale Road (Exit 339) and 31st Street (Exit 341) to allow work on a bridge that carries Interstate 84 over I-15.

Detours for northbound I-15 include: Take U.S. 89 (Exit 325) at Farmington, to westbound I-84 at Uintah, to northbound I-15 at Riverdale. An alternate is to take eastbound Riverdale Road (SR 26, Exit 339) in Roy to northbound I-84 in Riverdale, to northbound I-15.

The detour for southbound I-15: Take westbound 31st Street/Hinckley Drive (Exit 341) to southbound 1900 West, to eastbound 5600 South to southbound I-15 (Ramp 338). An alternative is to take eastbound 31st Street (Exit 341) to southbound Washington Boulevard, to westbound Riverdale Road to southbound I-15 (at Ramp 339).

UDOT will have signs marking detour routes. Updates and additional information will be posted on the UDOT Traffic website at udottraffic.utah.gov.
