Weber State basketball coach Randy Rahe built a schedule for the upcoming season which should present challenges to a squad which returns nearly intact from a 30-win season.

The expected victories for the Wildcats, coming off a school-high 30-7 record in 2013 and the championship game of the Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament, include home games against Saint Katherine College on Dec. 17 and Northern New Mexico on Dec. 28.

The Wildcats expect harder going when they play at UCLA on Dec. 22.

"Every year we look to put together the toughest and most challenging schedule we can and we feel we did that again this year," Rahe said. "We are excited about the challenge of the teams we have scheduled and always try to play as tough a non-conference schedule as possible. This will be great preparation for the rigors of the always difficult Big Sky season."

Weber State opens the regular season Nov. 9 in Provo against BYU, the first of three in-state games. WSU's home opener is Nov. 26 against Utah State WSU will also visit Utah Valley on Dec. 11.

The Wildcats travel to Colorado State, Nov. 16 and host San Jose State on Nov. 30.

The 20-game Big Sky season begins Jan. 2, 2014, when the 'Cats host Eastern Washington in the Dee Events Center. WSU will conclude the Big Sky schedule with six of its final eight conference games on the road.
