Weber State All-American Amber Henry will compete in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa in an attempt to qualify for the World Championships.

The USA Championships include the top professional and collegiate athletes in the nation. The women's steeplechase first round is scheduled for 20 at 2 p.m. (MDT).

The finals of the event will take place Saturday at 3:20 p.m. and will be televised live on Universal Sports and NBC Sports Network. The top three finishers at the USA Championships will qualify to represent Team USA at the World Track and Field Championships in August in Moscow, Russia.

Henry enters the meet ranked sixth of the athletes entered in the steeplechase. The Mountain View, Wyo., native is coming off a third-place finish two weeks ago in the steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Championship. She earned All-American honors for the second-straight year by posting a career best mark of 9:43.39 at the event, the second best mark in Weber State history.
