A 62-year-old man died Friday after falling from his bike in upper Corner Canyon near Draper.

Salt Lake County police and fire authorities responded to the canyon on Friday morning to help Allan Egbert, of Draper, who had apparently suffered a massive stroke or heart attack, which caused him to fall from the bike, Unified Fire Authority Capt. Clint Mecham said.

Mecham said people at the scene had reported performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Egbert, who appeared to be taking some breaths but apparently had no pulse. A helicopter had been called but was canceled about 11:30 a.m. when Egbert died, Mecham said.
