CYCLING • The Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah has attracted 16 professional cycling teams for the six-day event, which runs Aug. 6-11. Ten teams had previously been announced, and six more were announced Monday, including UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling.

The final field represents teams registered from seven countries – Australia, Brazil, China, Italy, Luxembourg, South Africa and the United States.

Organizers say three of the pro squads confirmed for the Tour are in the Top 10 of the UCI WorldTour rankings, including Radioshack Leopard Trek of Luxembourg, which won the team classification last year. Each team is expected to confirm its roster of riders at the end of July.

Police again search Hernandez's home

NFL • Police in North Attleborough, Mass., again searched the area near the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, a week after his friend's body was found about a mile away. Some law enforcement officers wore wetsuits Monday while searching a pond near Hernandez's home and the industrial park where Odin Lloyd's body was found. Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player for the Boston Bandits, was found slain June 17. His relatives said he was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancee, that the two men were friends and that both men were out together on the last night of Lloyd's life.

Kelly says surgery removed cancer

NFL • Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly says he has been told by doctors that he won't need to undergo chemotherapy or radiation treatment after having surgery to remove cancerous cells in his jaw.

The former Buffalo Bills star made the announcement at his football camp in Buffalo on Monday and his comment were posted on the Bills' website. Kelly says he found out the news last week. He said he had the left side of his jaw and the teeth on that side of his mouth removed in surgery on June 7. Kelly was released from the hospital three days later.
