The following products and vehicles were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Unless otherwise indicated, discontinue use of the products immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund. Contact a dealer for your model to see if it is included in the recall. The dealer will tell you what to do.
Product • Target-Mins iron supplement bottles
Problem • The packaging is not child-resistant, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The tablets inside the bottle contain iron, which can cause serious injury or death to young children if multiple tablets are ingested at once. Vehicle • Subaru 2013 Outback and Legacy
Problem • In the affected vehicles, the inner and outer shafts of the steering column assembly may become disengaged from one another. If they do, the driver could lose the ability to steer the vehicle. Subaru will notify owners, and dealers will replace the steering column assembly with a new one, free of charge. The recall began on May 14. Owners may contact Subaru at 800-782-2783. Subaru's recall campaign number is WQI-45.
