Two Chihuahuas stolen from the Humane Society of Utah have been recovered, although the suspects remain at large.
Two females took 13-year-old Bella and 2-month-old Titan from the shelter on Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses said a blonde and a brunette, ages 16 to 24, walked into the shelter Wednesday and spent an hour there before leaving with the two dogs, according to a news release.
On Saturday, someone found Titan alone at a party and returned him to the shelter. On Sunday, a family found Bella wandering a neighborhood alone and returned her as well, said shelter spokesman Carl Arky. The shelter scanned microchips on both dogs to confirm their identities.
