After careful investigation, they're not crop circles or alien landing points. What have appeared at the Cottonwood High playing fields are huge brown spots. There is a green spot where each sprinkler head is located and a green ring about 15-20 feet away where the majority of the water is dropped. In between there is a huge brown circle that doesn't get watered.
Apparently, the district has done one or more of the following: bought cheap stuff to water the field, were furnished the wrong equipment, installed it improperly or don't have, or can't find, technicians to adjust the heads.
With the money spent to install the system, the grass should look as good as the rest of the grass. Things out there looked a lot better when one guy shuffled a bunch of rainbirds.
