Convergys seeking applicants for nearly 400 call center positions in Utah

Convergys Corp. wants to hire close to 400 people to fill open full-time positions at its call center in Taylorsville.

The company will hold an open house for applicants at the center, 860 W. Levoy Drive, on Aug. 7, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Customers will handle incoming customer telephone calls in support of a "client in the satellite industry," Convergys said.

Applicants should have some sales experience and be familiar with computers.

Wages are "competitive," Convergys said. The company also offers performances incentives, medical and dental insurance benefits, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) retirement plan and paid vacation time.
