Mori Savini, a star on Jordan's Class 5A state championship team in 2012, was cleared Thursday by the Utah High School Activities Association to play his senior season at Taylorsville High School.

UHSAA legal counselor Mark Van Wagoner said he studied Savini's transfer request Thursday and said since the family made a full physical move into the Taylorsville school boundaries, Savini was approved to play his senior season with the Warriors.

Savini has 52 total tackles and 8.5 sacks as a featured defensive lineman for the 5A champion Beetdiggers in 2012.
