Westminster men, women kick off soccer season

The Westminster men and women's soccer team opens the 2013 season Tuesday at Dumke Field. The men play Jamestown (N.D.) at 1 p.m. , while the women kick off at 6:30 p.m.

Eleven players return from a 2012 squad that finished 10-6-2 and featured leading scorer, Ryan Smith, who finished with nine goals and three assists for a team-best 21 points.

On Saturday, Westminster's women play The Master's (Calif.) at noon, followed by the men's game at 2:30 p.m.

The Griffins women have 15 players back from a 2012 squad that finished with a 12-5-1 overall record.
