A Layton man was still in a coma as of Monday afternoon, following a rollover in Cache County.

Michael Metcalf, 42, of Layton and his passenger David Singer, 52, were driving south on Ant Flat Road on Sunday. Metcalf was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the 2000 Toyota Tundra, which rolled in an area south of Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area, near Hyrum, according to a news release.

Metcalf, who was unconscious and unresponsive, was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. Singer was taken to the hospital in an ambulance with cuts on his head and pain in his leg, though Cache County sheriff's Lt. Chad Jensen said he believes Singer has been treated and released.

The crash is still under investigation.
