A Stansbury Park toddler remained in critical condition but was stabilizing Wednesday, the day after being run over by the family minivan.
Tooele County sheriff's Sgt. Shandy Lewis said the 22-month-old girl had been sitting inside the vehicle with a 5-year-old brother shortly before the accident at 9:18 a.m.
The boy crawled up from the back seat and accidentally knocked the gear shift into neutral. The toddler fell out of an open door and tumbled under the minivan's wheels.
The child was flown by helicopter to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City.
