Roy police said they're seeking a 40-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting overnight.

Ruben Alvarado Nava III, 40, is being sought in connection with the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old in the area of 2950 W. 4650 South.

Police said they responded to the area just after midnight on a report of a shooting. The 23-year-old, whose gender and name have not been released, was taken to an area hospital for treatment and later died.

Police said Nava should be considered armed and dangerous and anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call police.
