A 4-year-old girl was critically injured when she was run over her Monday night in a driveway in Woods Cross.

The girl, who is from West Valley City, was playing outdoors while visiting relatives near 1413 W. 2175 South, said Woods Cross police Detective Adam Osoro. A neighbor was pulling into the driveway when she ran over the girl, Osoro said.

The neighbor apparently "was distracted by another group of kids ... and she did not see the 4-year-old," he said.

The girl was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center, Osoro said.
