Four people escaped serious injury when the semi-trailer rig in which they were riding tipped over in northern Utah's Sardine Canyon.

The Utah Highway Patrol was investigating whether the man driving the northbound big rig may have fallen asleep and run off the roadway of State Route 89/91 about 6 a.m. Thursday.

No other vehicles were involved, though traffic was restricted to one lane for more than two hours, UHP said.

Not citations were issued but the accident was under investigation.

Two men and two women in the truck escaped serious injuries, but one of the men, a 19-year-old, was arrested and booked into the Cache County jail on an unrelated felony warrant, jail records showed.
