A motor home caught fire on an east-central Utah stretch of Interstate 70, spreading flames to a nearby field before being extinguished.

The Utah Highway Patrol said no injuries were reported, but the fire just before noon Tuesday near Spotted Wolf Canyon in Emery County destroyed the westbound recreational vehicle.

The cause of the fire, which completely engulfed the motor home, remained under investigation on Wednesday.

The fire closed down westbound lanes for more than an hour before traffic was restored at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, UHP reported.
