Christ United Methodist Church Health Fair

Christ United Methodist Church will hold a health fair where there will be seasonal flu shots for ages 3 and older for $30; pneumonia shot, cardiovascular screenings (carotid artery), Ask a Doc, Nurse & Physical Therapist; screenings for blood sugar, cholesterol, hearing, vision, blood pressure, bone density and body mass index; and more. The Blessing of the Pets

The Very Rev. Ray Waldon and Cathedral clergy will bless pets in honor of St. Francis Of Assisi Day. The blessings will be for the good health and companionship of pets as well as their owners. The blessing is followed by a "bring your own picnic" with grills available.

Blessing the Beasts

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will offer the annual Blessing of the Beasts to the entire community. All are welcome to bring their furry or feathered friends to be blessed as they commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, known to have loved all of God's creature.
