Salt Lake City police are asking for the public's help in locating an armed robbery suspect.

The suspect, described as a white man in his mid-30s, 6-foot, thin, with a dark narrow moustache and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, entered the Tesoro convenience store at 965 N. Beck Street about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The man indicated he had a handgun in his clothing and demanded and received money from the clerk. A witness saw the suspect jump into a dark blue 2005 Dodge Dakota pickup truck after he fled through the store's back entrance.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Salt Lake City police at 801-799-3000.
