Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will open a new restaurant in Heber City Wednesday, something that will be good news for the Wasatch Community Foundation.

The Salt Lake-based chain, founded in 1997 and known for its made-from-scratch Mexican food, will donate $2,500 to the foundation, something it does when opening a new restaurant. The chain has donated more than $30,000 to various charities in 2013.

The new restaurant will open at 10:30 a.m. at 75 W. 1000 South in Heber City. This is the 65th restaurant the chain has opened throughout the United States.
