Utah basketball fans will see a familiar face this season on the Pac-12 Networks' basketball coverage - former Jazzman Jarron Collins has signed on as a game analyst.That has less to do with the fact that he played for the Jazz from 2001-2009 than it does with the fact that he's a Stanford grad, no doubt.Heading into its second season of basketball coverage, P12N made a number of announcements. SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - In preparation for its sophomore season of live men's basketball game coverage, Pac-12 Networks has assembled an impressive roster of on-air personalities to voice its production of 149 live games, pre, half and postgame studio shows and weekly installments of Pac-12 Playbook.The excitement begins next week as Pac-12 Networks gets viewers primed for another season with Pac-12 Men's Basketball Media Day Special Thursday, October 17 at 10:00 a.m. PT. The three-hour special airing live during Pac-12 Men's Basketball Media Day will take fans inside the media day festivities - taking place from the Pac-12 Studios for the second straight year - interviewing players and coaches in attendance from each Pac-12 program.Additionally, Pac-12.com will stream the entire podium sessions with players and coaches live and feature other news and notes from media day on their special microsite, http://pac-12.com/mens-basketball-media-day-2013, which is now live."We're looking forward to another exciting season of men's basketball on the Networks," said Lydia Murphy-Stephans, Pac-12 Networks President. "Tipping off the season at the Pac-12 studios with the coaches, players and announcers is an exciting way to showcase our Conference's talent."Former University of Oregon head coach Ernie Kent and Pac-12 all-time leading scorer Don MacLean are among the returning names to the Networks' men's basketball analyst roster, as well as Dan Belluomini, Lamar Hurd and Matt Muehlebach. New this season are former Stanford and eight-year NBA veteran Jarron Collins and six-year NBA veteran and former Washington Huskies point guard Dan Dickau. The play-by-play team is led by Ted Robinson and Kevin Calabro, whom alongside Roxy Bernstein, JB Long and Paul Sunderland, enter their second year calling men's basketball on Pac-12 Networks. Broadcast veteran Rich Waltz, who has been a staple within Miami Marlins and FOX Sports South baseball coverage for the past nine years, joins Pac-12 Networks' play-by-play team this season.Studio host Mike Yam also returns to anchor Playbook: Basketball, which begins its second season Tuesday, December 3 at 10:00 p.m. PT, following the Texas Tech-Arizona and UC Santa Barbara at UCLA men's basketball doubleheader. The show will provide interviews with players and coaches from around the conference, with analysis from Kent and MacLean. Yam will also host the Networks' pre, half and postgame studio coverage surrounding its live game telecasts alongside a rotation of analysts on select days during the season.
