A man was seriously injured late Wednesday morning after falling from the roof of a two-story home in West Jordan.

Public safety dispatchers said the 911 call reporting the accident came in at 9:22 a.m. West Jordan firefighters and paramedics responded to the house at 3160 W. 8525 South.

West Jordan police spokesman Dan Roberts said the 47-year-old man was in critical condition after being flown from the scene to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.

The man is an employee of a property management firm who was winterizing the home's air conditionsing system when he slipped and fell to the ground, striking a barbecue and the ground, Roberts said.
