Where all-time NBA assist leader John Stockton once roamed, the Jazz finished with 12 against the Rockets.
Utah didn't have an assist in the third quarter. It had one by Alec Burks during the offensively-challenged second half.
"More execution, not moving our bodies, not moving the ball," said coach Tyrone Corbin. "We did the reverse of what we did in the first half. …
"The ball moved very well in the first half because we moved our body and we moved the ball and it was crisp. They couldn't keep up with it. [But] in the second half, we got away from it."
The Jazz owned a 56-37 lead late in the second quarter. Over the final 25 minutes, they were outscored, 67-37.
John Lucas, who came off the bench for the first time this season, led the Jazz with four assists. Nobody else had more than two. Utah five starters combined for five.
"We have plays keys," Lucas said. "We saw how they were playing us. [But] I think the ball stopped moving. That's on everybody. That's on us as a team no individual person.
"In the first half that ball was popping moving strong side to weak side, back to strong side and back to weak side. We just have to keep playing that way, with the same energy as we had in the first half."
Off the bench, Lucas played his best game of the season. He finished with nine points on 5-for-11 shooting after going 4-for-17 in losses to Oklahoma City and Phoenix.
"I'm fine," he said. "I'm a basketball player. Whether I start or come off the bench, I'm going to give it everything I have every night. That's just my mentality."
Jamaal Tinsley started in place of Lucas, although he ended up playing only 14 minutes.
Asked about the change in line-ups, Corbin said, "I thought it worked well for us in the first half. I thought Jamaal came in and was organized. He knew where he wanted to go. And Lucas came in and created pace with the second group. … In the second half, it wasn't the same. We can't afford to have that."
