Plans for tonight: Tonight Alive, live tonight

• Pop-punk band Tonight Alive performs at the Murray Theatre, 4959 S. State St., Murray. Opening acts: The Downtown Fiction, For The Foxes, Echosmith. Show starts at 6:30. Tickets are $12, at Smith's Tix.

• The Utah Jazz take on the Denver Nuggets, at EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Game starts at 7. Tickets are available at Smith's Tix.

• Instrumental progressive/metal band Scale the Summit performs at The Shred Shed, 60 E. Exchange Place (360 South), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: The Reign of Kindo, Jolly. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $12, at 24Tix.

• Rapper Random (a k a Mega Ran) performs at Kilby Court, 741 S. Kilby Court (330 West), Salt Lake City. Opening acts: Atheist, Amanda Lepre, Professor Shyguy, D&D Sluggers, Mark Dago. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $10, at 24Tix.
