A police standoff ended in Spanish Fork after an armed domestic-violence suspect surrendered to SWAT officers on Thursday afternoon.

The man, about 60, was drunk and making threats to a woman in a home near 300 East and Center Street, said police spokesman Matt Johnson. The woman escaped about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, along with a 15-year-old boy who also was in the house.

The man surrendered about 2:15 p.m., Johnson said.
