A multi-vehicle crash closed down four southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near 8000 South on Friday morning in Midvale.

Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Todd Johnson said six vehicles were involved but no one was seriously injured in the chain-reaction crashes that began about 7:25 a.m.

Two lanes were closed with traffic being funneled through the remaining three interior lanes. All lanes were cleared by 9:30 a.m.

The cause of the accidents was under investigation.
