Cedar City • Southern Utah has moved into the top 25 in both major Football Championship Subdivision polls.

Coming off a 22-14 win at Montana State, the Thunderbirds are ranked 20th in the Sports Network media poll. They are No. 22 in the NCAA coaches poll.

SUU, 8-3 overall, is one of five Big Sky Conference teams ranked in both polls.

In the media poll, Eastern Washington is No. 3, Montana is No. 5, Northern Arizona is No. 10 and Montana State is No. 13. In the coaches poll, Eastern Washington is third, Montana is sixth, Northern Arizona is 12th and Montana State is 13th.

Southern Utah plays host to Northern Arizona on Saturday. With a win, the Thunderbirds will likely clinch an at-large bid to the FCS playoffs.
