A pair of Utah prep class of 2015 football stars who squared off in last week's Class 5A state semifinal have landed on ESPN's prestigious list of the top 300 junior recruits in the country.
Brighton running back/linebacker Osa Masina is listed at 126th in the rankings. Labeled a four-star recruit with a scout grade of 81, Masina, who has excelled on both sides of the ball, is listed as an athlete. The scouting report included in Masina's profile says he could end up playing any position on the front seven for a collegiate defense, or "possibly on offense as an H-back type."
Masina, who will take on Bingham in Friday's state title game, has not committed to a college but holds offers from schools such as Stanford, Michigan, UCLA and Notre Dame, as well as the three big in-state schools Utah, BYU and Utah State.
