Grade • D

DVD • Now that we're putting GoPro cameras on skiers' helmets and skydivers' harnesses, it was only a matter of time before somebody decided to strap a bunch of cameras on a car and call it a movie.

That movie is "Getaway," a chaotic and stupid chase flick starring Ethan Hawke as Brent Magna, a former NASCAR driver living in Bulgaria. When Magna's wife is kidnapped, the mystery captor (Jon Voight) forces Magna to steal a hot rod — actually, a Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake — and outrun the Bulgarian cops.

The action is frenetic and doesn't hold together, and the ending is so stupid and random that you're likely to throw something through your TV screen. —
