All day Thursday, the Salt Lake City Mission shuttled homeless Utahns from the downtown Salt Lake City area to The Christian Life Center on Redwood Road for a free holiday meal.

Elsewhere, the Salvation Army partnered with the University of Utah, Utah Restaurant Association, AAA Utah and high school culinary arts program Prostart to provide holiday meals for 750 seniors and families in the Salt Lake City area.

The Utah Food Bank sponsored its annual Human Race as part of its statewide Holiday Food Drive.
