A Hill Air Force Base employee died Sunday after his snowmobile rolled down a mountainside.
The 22-year-old was out with three friends in the Monte Cristo area of Weber County. About 2 p.m., the group was riding down a steep hill in the Dry Bread area, but when three of them reached the bottom and could not see or hear their companion, they went looking for him, said Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Lane Findlay.
The trio found him pinned under the front of his snowmobile but after they and a couple passersby got it off of him, they found that he was not breathing and did not have a pulse. A member of the man's group used a satellite device to signal for help to the remote area, while someone else called for help on a cell phone.
