A Carbon County woman died in a crash just south of Price on Monday.

Kelly Wise, 51, of Price, was driving east on U.S. Route 6 when she drifted into the westbound lane, striking an oncoming Nissan Rogue head-on about two miles south of Price shortly before 8 a.m., according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Wise, who was driving a Toyota Camry, was not wearing her seat belt and died, the UHP added. The three people in the Rogue were all restrained and suffered only minor injuries.

The crash initially shut down the highway in both directions, but troopers cleared the scene and reopened the lanes at noon.

UHP is still investigating the crash and have ruled out weather conditions as a factor .
