Having so many problems with other nations should be of great concern to all of us. Relations with India, Germany, China and Russia have been severely strained in recent days. Issues with these nations have not been effectively resolved by the president, the Congress or the secretary of state.

Have no fear. There is yet hope. We should all be thankful that we have the Honorable Dennis Rodman in North Korea ("Rodman in N. Korea to prep for game on leader's birthday," Tribune, Dec. 19).
