Ogden • Kyle Tresnak scored 22 points and blocked a career-high five shots to lead Weber State past Northern New Mexico 75-49 Saturday night.

Christian Barraza scored 11 straight points for Northern New Mexico (10-9) to pull the Eagles within five, 42-37, but Weber State responded with a 15-6 run during which Tresnak scored 11 points.

Utah Valley 75, Tennessee Tech 66 • In Orem, Holton Hunsaker scored 22 points to lead the Wolverines (6-7) to the win.

Women's basketball

BYU 90, Loyola Marymount 72 • In Provo, Jennifer Hamson scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, leading the Cougars (11-1, 1-0 WCC) to victory in their WCC opener. Lexi Eaton scored 18 points for the Cougars, Kim Beeston scored 11, and Kylie Maeda added 10. Asley Garfield scored tallied 9 points and 14 rebounds.

College of Idaho 86, Utah State 81 • In Logan, Jennifer Schlott tallied 26 points and 10 assists, but the Aggies (6-6) lost the exhibition against their NAIA opponent.

Utah Valley 89, New Orleans 49 • In Orem, Rhaiah Spooner-Knight scored 20 points to lead UVU (2-10).
