Scandals rocked West Valley City's police department, an attorney general resigned and gay marriage came to Utah. Matheson announced he will step down from his congressional seat while Mormon women stepped up to the podium to pray. Two Scout leaders toppled and videotaped their way to infamy and hero beavers saved the day in Willard Bay.

On Tuesday at 12:15, deputy editor/editorial page editor Tim Fitzpatrick and assistant managing editor Dave Noyce join Jennifer Napier-Pearce to remember the year's major stories and assess their lasting impact.
