This week's Utah Crowd-Funding project aims to prove that aliens are among us — and they've come for our T-shirts.

The Salt Lake City company They're Here Gear specializes in T-shirts, hoodies, caps and other clothes and accessories with a space-alien theme.

According to its Kickstarter page, the company "is a platform to help spark dialogue about the existence of aliens and to do so in fun, unique ways. … We are dedicated to spreading the message that aliens are among us. Every article of merchandise we put out is a conversation starter, a statement, and a revolution."

They're Here Gear is seeking $7,500 on a Kickstarter campaign by Jan. 31. So far, the firm has raised $1,265. Donors can get rewards ranging from a beanie (for a $15 donation) to being written into a comic book (for $10,000).

If you have a crowd-funding project you'd like mentioned on The Cricket blog, email it to: spmeans@sltrib.com. Be sure to put "crowd funding" in the subject line.
